The Alchemy of Happiness by Al Ghazzali – on Kindle by Orange Sky Project

Recently, I initiated Orange Sky Project which will focus on Kindle publishing of classical texts which are not on Kindle or expensive and/or low-quality publications. Thanks to Seth Godin’s Domino Project, I first written about it here and then stole the publication idea from him. I am sure he won’t mind.

Orange Sky Project aims to change this by publishing low-priced, quality Kindle books. The first one appeared on Kindle today:

1308 Farsi Edition of the Text.

1. The Alchemy of Happiness by AL GHAZZALI (with active TOC) Price: 2.99$

Translated in 1909.
The Kimiya-yi Sa’ādat was written towards the end of Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Ghazālī’s life shortly before 499/1105. During the time before it was written the Muslim world was considered to be in a state of political as well as intellectual unrest. al-Ghazali noted that there were constant disputes regarding the role of philosophy and scholastic theology and Sufi’s became chastised for their neglect of the ritual obligations of Islam. Upon its release, the Kimiya-yi sa’ādat allowed al-Ghazali to considerably reduce the tensions between the scholars and mystics.— Excerpted from Kimiya-yi sa’ādat on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

From the Author

So you want to get organized? Well, I am so glad you are considering my book to help you on this path.  I can tell you this: if there is a will there is a way. ANYONE can get every area of their life organized by following the goals and tips in Organize Now!

I wrote this book because I feel that there are too many “long-winded, novel-like” books about getting organized.  I know from being a Professional Organizer (for 10+ years) that when people are overwhelmed by clutter they don’t want to waste time reading, they want to get it done!  They hire me because they want me to Tell-Them-What-To-Do (as quickly and painlessly as possible).  This book does just that.  I have left out the fluff and written a step-by-step plan to get YOU organized.  Organizing is my passion but my mission is to help each of you clear the clutter so that you may start living the life you dream about.

Best of luck!
Jennifer

Free Shakespeare Kindle Book of the Day – As You Like It

3. As You Like It by William Shakespeare

Product Description

As You Like It is a pastoral comedy by William Shakespeare believed to have been written in 1599 or early 1600 and first published in the folio of 1623. The work was based upon the early prose romance Rosalynde by Thomas Lodge. The play’s first performance is uncertain, though a performance at Wilton House in 1603 has been suggested as a possibility. As You Like It follows its heroine Rosalind as she flees persecution in her uncle’s court, accompanied by her cousin Celia and Touchstone the court jester, to find safety and eventually love in the Forest of Arden. Historically, critical response has varied, with some critics finding the work of lesser quality than other Shakespearean works and some finding the play a work of great merit.
The play features one of Shakespeare’s most famous and oft-quoted speeches, “All the world’s a stage,” and is the origin of the phrase “too much of a good thing.” The play remains a favourite among audiences and has been adapted for radio, film, and musical theatre.
